Ramzi yousef
Ramzi arrived in the United States on September 1, 1992 with flight companion Ahmed Ajaj who distracted security guards and was arrested immedietly after arrival in the U.S.. Before entry of the United States Yousef recieved advice and helpful tips through the phone from his uncle Shaikh Mohammed Ali Fadden who was later found out to be a major part of 9/11, he recieved over $1,000 through wire transfer. Soon after arrival Yousef met his co-workers and started assembling the 1,500lb bomb in Brooklyn, he aquired some of the chemicals through the phone in the hospital after a car crash by Salameh. After the bomb went off he and Ismoil took a plane out of the country, Ismoil to Jordan and Ramzi to Pakistan where he continued more attackes on American people.
Ahmed Ajaj
Ahmed Ajaj traveled to America with Ramzi but was caught with bomb manuals, videos of car bombs and other illegal items and was arrested directly. That did not stop him from assisting the group from completing the mission, through the prison landline he would contact Ramzi, but never directly, he would call a local burger joint where Ramzi would be at the assigned time and would give directions to assemble the bomb in a forgein language. Just three days after the bomb went off Ahmed was released but was convicted for directly assisting the group in an attempt to topple the towers and was sentenced to another 240 years except no ordinary prison, ADX Florence a supermax. solitary confinement prison where he later caught lung cancer from second hand smoking and attempted to sue the prison for faulty air ventilation.
Mohammad Salameh
Mohammad Salameh rented the yellow Ryder van that housed the 1,500 lb urea nitrate bomb, which he reported stolen for his $400 rent fee for an adult plane ticket out of the country. Despite failing his drivers test four times he drove the group. He was convicted on March 4 and stood trial along with Mahmud Abouhalima, Nidal Ayyad and Ahmed Ahjaj for numerous charges.
Abdul yasin
Abdul Yasin was talked into the plot and helped assemble the bomb. Caught by the FBI he appeared on the 60 minute show revealing much information on the attack where he was released for his cooperation and releasing dates, names, addresses, he was drove home in an FBI car.
eyad ismoil
Eyad Ismoil was one of Ramzi's most trusted and one of his best friends. He drove the escape vehicle out of the garage at 12:00 noon. He was one of the two who escaped the country in time. He and Ramzi Yousef took a plane, him to Jordan and Ramzi to Pakistan, Ismoil lived in secrecy until Augest of 1997 where he was caught by Jordanian authorities.
Mahmud abouhalima
Mahmud had a life as a cab driver for five years before the attack, he got a nickname too, he was called The Red for his red tinted hair. When he met up with Yousef he loaded the van with the massive bomb and rode with them to the B-2 level parking garage where they lit the bomb and fled Mahmud Abouhalima did not make it out of the country in time and had to stand trial for his crimes with Mohammad Salameh, Nidal Ayyad and Ahmed Ajaj where they were found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
Nidal ayyad
Nidal Ayyad recieved a college degree in chemical engineering which gave him a job as a chemical engineer before the plot. He had the job to order the three containers of compressed hydrogen for the bomb which was not easy to get somebody to willingly sell compressed hydrogen to them. With a difficult task he managed to find somebody willing to sell it and proceeded to go on with the plan. When the bomb exploded leaving a massive crater behind, Nidal was also left behind and was caught and now has to live the rest of his life in prison.
